What is so special about your soap?
Nothing really… It’s five ounces (or more) of handmade and hand cut soap. It contains no chemical dyes, no chemical fillers, no synthetic fragrance oils and is wrapped in hand stamped packaging. No two bars look alike. We make small batches. At present, there may be a maximum of 30 – 45 bars of any particular product available to the public. We’re adventurous. We like making new fragrances that you can’t find elsewhere… so it may be some time until we make a particular bar again. Customers tell us the soap lasts a good while, but we don’t know how long a good while is in days. All that, and it’s a great value at $5 a bar. So… It’s pretty normal. Nothing special or rare here.

No, the base of our soap is not organic. However we do use organic ingredients in some of our bars (i.e. organic oatmeal, organic coconut flakes).

Yes, our soap is considered Vegan. We use plant-based oils and do not use animal based oils or conduct animal testing of any kind. However… Please note we do use our own product and we are, technically speaking, animals.

What makes your soap all-natural?
Most commercial soaps use synthetic fragrance oils in order to prolong the scent and shelf life. We do not use any synthetic fragrance oils or chemical (filler) additives. Therefore the aroma of our bars may fade within 4-6 months, but the soap will still be usable.

Are there health benefits to your soap?
While we have our personal opinion on this topic, we make no health claims. We just make quality soap. We don’t make claims. However, our customers make a lot of claims. We hope to publish testimonials in the near future.

Can people with sensitive skin use your soap?
Honestly, we can’t say. While many customers with sensitive skin have used our product and sent us praise, we realize everyone is different. With that said, we cannot say our bars are right for everyone.

Can I request custom orders of soap?
Yes, we will consider custom orders. However, they must be for 45 bars or more. Half of the price of the order will be required in advance and the remaining half will be required prior to shipment. The turn around time for these orders is approximately 40 days, but may be longer depending on the nature of the desired product.

Why is your turn around time 40 days?
Our bars are not glycerin based. They are lye based. Therefore, it takes 30 days from the time the bars are made to cure. During this time, water evaporates, leaving behind a hard bar of soap. However, that is only part of the reason our turn around time is 40 days (or longer). We like to do research, come up with creative ideas and provide options. Perhaps you require a unique mold or an exotic essential from a far away land. One never knows…

Do you sell your soap anywhere outside of your website?
Currently our soap is only sold through www.buyqualitysoap.com. If you are a retailer and are interested in buying Quality Soap, contact us via the contact page on our website.
